I always loved the quote “my hijab, my crown”, it’s like a reminder to us muslim ladies that we’re all princesses and queens in this religion, that we’re not oppressed at all actually. Even though hijab is well known as covering your hair but it is more than that in fact. It includes the way you dress up, your attitude as a muslim girl and etc that I don’t really want to touch on because it can be extra sensitive and also let’s face it, even I have yet to cover up properly (always let myself succumb to the thought of “it’s OK to wear a bit tighter clothes because hey! it covers your aurah anyway!” which is totally wrong, btw.)
“You knew but you still didn’t act upon it”
Well please do forgive this 19 years old girl that is still weak in trying to become a perfect muslim in this world full of endless obstacles (and also satan…) but please do pray for me to achieve it before closing my eyes, and I pray for you guys too. Let’s help each other instead of tearing people down alright hehe
Well let’s get into the real topic here. You guys know how much I love floral printed things especially the english style one. I remember getting asked by my GP teacher when she saw my bags and school stuff “you do really love flowers don’t you?” and the shy me just nodded and smile sheepishly….ceh. Well that was 2 years ago and today I’m still the same girl who loves flowers endlessly, just getting a tad obsessed now. Even my instagram’s full with flower pictures, if that’s not obvious enough.
So a floral printed scarf is enough to make me feel like I’m on cloud nine.
Last month I received a direct message from the sweet Sugarscarf that they want to send me a gift to celebrate urban women who wear stylish scarves *blush* and that they thought I’m a perfect trendsetter and an inspiration to you guys *blush harder* DAWW STAHP IT YOUU SUGARSCARF~ I don’t know how they found my instagram account honestly, I’m not really that well known haha. But getting noticed by a big brand like Sugarscarf’s enough to make my heart bloom for days. Thought posing for a picture in their scarf is not enough, why don’t I make a review for the scarf that they gave me in return of the huge favour. Also so I can share with you guys this amazing brand from Malaysia!
It took around 3 weeks to arrive due to raya celebration so I was all curious and kept on thinking which scarf that I would get. I kept on browsing through their website and also FV’s. The Madison Twilight is pretty though, oh oh! the swarovski collection is beautiful too!! But then I saw it.
As a floral printed/flower enthusiast, I hyperventilated a bit..jokes, A LOT. But then again I thought of the possibility of getting it as a gift because it’s too beautiful to be mine..at least for free. I even planned to buy it for myself but I gotta wait for the gift to arrive first just in case.
My baby brother said the girl looks like me bahaha
I finally took it from the post office (with the help of my aunt because I’m a noob) and finally got my hands on this baby last Friday.
Mandatory flatlay picture because I’m an ancient girl who loves flatlay so bad
Guess which collection Sugarscarf gave me?
IT’S THE FLORAL EDITION GUYS. I WEEPED. How come you knew me so well Sugarscarf???
Never realised how much I love getting personal cards up until now.
The luxurious brand tag, love love love.
Love the sewn fabric brand tag behind the metal tag. It’s the little details that makes me appreciate the scarf even more.
The watercolour floral design might be similar to Tudungpeople’s, but Sugarscarf’s more into that minimalist yet sweet look by crowding the floral design on both ends with plained middle instead. I purposely style it like a veil to show off the flowers and I had to shamelessly admit that I feel like a princess in my flower crown teehee.
I paired it with my new Love To Dress Aloura. Love how it makes my ash gray floral scarf as the centre of attention but still managed to appear gorgeous as ever.
What I love about this scarf is the fabric used, which is satin silk. It’s soft but not as soft as peach skin and it’s really easy to style it. You literally can feel the quality when you wear it, how gentle it feels on my skin screams “luxury” and “you have to get this!!!!”. No kidding.
Sugarscarf’s raya 2016 floral edition comes in several colours AND types. Yes you hear me! This edition itself has 3 types of style for you to choose from, whether it’s the Semi Instant: Madison Criss Cross Floral, Semi Instant: Round Floral or Floral Long Scarves. Oh no you don’t stop there yet, you can choose to have it in white/black/ash gray. And oh, you can have it in size M or L too, cool huh? Love how Sugarscarf takes everything into account, from comfort to style of your choice to size. Mine’s the long scarf in ash gray.
You can purchase this scarf from their website here as they do ship worldwide! This brand’s also available on FashionValet, they don’t have the floral edition there though but you guys can check out Sugarscarf’s other products that are available there (I’m eyeing their Chloe peplum top hehe)
Thank you so much Sugarscarf for the thoughtful and unexpected gift! I love it to bits and am going to treasure it along with my other special scarves <3
This satin-silk scarf feels luxurious under my touch, are you ladies sure you want to miss it? *winks*
