One thing about me that I have yet to tell you guys is that, I used to hate dresses during my teenage years. So much. I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned it before but I was a tomboy.
No kidding guys. But I’m straight, no worries bahaha. I just loved to dress like a dude, I even cut my hair short! The pixie hair trend? Me and Poopy Cat nailed it first before it was trending…except mine was more of like a tomato head though haha. But anyways, I used to despise dresses so much probably because mom used to bought me a lot of dresses when I was a kid (mom dressed me up as though I was her baby doll lol) and only got my first pair of jeans when I was 10/11 years old. Never went back to dresses anymore since then until I was 18 haha.
Only when I purchase my first ever abaya from Naelofar that I slowly getting in touch with my feminine side back. Phew. Thank you, Naelofar. You’ve saved me, bahaha.
Anyway, safe to say I’ve ample amount of dresses in my wardrobe currently and as much as I want to collect more of it, it is so hard for me to find more unique and attractive dresses for my everyday use. Since entering my current uni, I’m more fond of wearing dresses than kurungs, and you guys know how picky I am in choosing clothes. I need to be stylish, comfortable and I dislike looking the same as other people (sorry if I sound snobbish and make you hate me even more, at least I’m honest…..haha ok la sorry sorry I swear I’m trying to fix this one flaw of mine k hehe) so having pretty dresses is vital!
And only this brand can nail it.
I bought my first LtD piece from their Eid16 collection Modern Romance and if you guys remember, I even made 2 posts about it! Oh how I was madly in love with the dresses, with the ruffles and peonies inspired cuffs. *sighs dreamily* The collection was romantic, soft and feminine and it caught my heart so well I ended up buying 2 #weak. But it. was. worth. it.
This year, LtD is back with their Eid17 collection, with total of 10 dresses for us to choose from. They also came up with pretty dresses from their Lounge and Spring/Summer 17 collections, which I didn’t get to buy because uk10/uk12 are totally sold out *cries*. So as for their Eid17 collection I had my eagle eyes all set and ready since they dropped the teasers. But oh Lord was it hard to find the perfect dress?? I mean guys, how do you choose the most perfect out of 10 perfections?? They released the collection batches by batches, which made it even hard for me to choose. Whenever I see a dress that I like I’d be like “..but what if the next release will be prettier than this???” hence why I didn’t bought it from the pop-up store last month haha
LtD played with ruffles last year, all soft and super duper girly. This year, they’re playing with pleats. Cleaner, bolder yet still maintaining the feminine dna. I’d be lying if I said I don’t want all of it, ’cause I swear to God every single dresses are perfect for not even raya, but for everyday dresses! In my case, uni dresses hehe. Ugh I want every single of it guys, if only my bank allows me *cries blood*
If last year it was about love, this year it is all about appreciating the characteristics of Allah’s creations. Every single dresses have its own unique characters. It is fun to read the characteristics of these dresses on the FV’s site, just click on the dress that you want and the details of it are beautifully written under the product information. So if you want to feel even more connected to the dresses, have some time to read it guys! Maybe one (or two hehe) of it matches with yours! It’d be cool to wear a dress that screams you ;>
Okay, let’s jump straight to my top10! Can’t wait to show you guys these beautiful masterpieces by Love To Dress!
Do I seriously need to explain this beauty in details?? I was eyeing this dress since they posted the video teaser and I kid you not it took my breath away for good 5 seconds. Pleats on both sides and on the sleeves??? I’m sold. But sadly, I didn’t get this dress as I thought it was sold out when FV release the final designs. Apparently Luna was just fashionably late. CRIES. BLOOD. So I bought my second favorite instead. InsyaAllah if there’s rizq, I’ll get this one for sure hehe. Hopefully it won’t sold out by then…though I’m doubting that.. #kalaujodohtakkemana #teehee
I bought this one guys!!! And by now it has arrived and is hanging out beautifully on the rack with the other LtD dresses hehe <3 I just loooove that little peek of pleats and the lace on the cuff is to. die. for! Don’t make me start on how comfy this dress it. I LOVE IT SOO MUCH. *wipes tears* *clutches heart* This dress is being described as protective of the ones that she loves and she also has a motherly character, soft-spoken and compassionate. Not really sure if it does describe me though lol but I do hope that I’m growing to be Nawal one day, insyaAllah hehe. Now the question is, is Nawal you? 😉
Pleats overload! This dress is for the quirky girls out there who are positive and optimistic, always ready to rule the world! Keeping the upper part of the dress simple but still taking everyone’s attention with the pleated skirt all over. This dress reminds me of Teetee so much, she’s obsessed with pleats guys bahaha. With Nora on, the world is no doubt will be your runway!
Also one of my favorites (what am I kidding, everything is my favorite here), first we have pleats on both sides, on the right side, pleats all around the skirt and now we have middle front and also
Back!!! I’m obsessed with the details on the cuffs too, those mini pleats looks yummyyy. I admire this brand for giving sufficient attention on the little details of their dresses, which makes me appreciate it even more. Who says jubahs have to be plain and boring?? Add this into your wardrobe and say goodbye to your old boring dress!
I saw this at the pop-up store and I almost bought it. The dress might look simple, but let me shift your attention to the sleeves
“Detailed with Greek designed embroidery that runs along the front of the sleeves and finished at the v-slit cuffs.”
Fuhhh, if that doesn’t make you wanna own it in an instant bahaha. Also, can you guys see that subtle pleat there? FUUHHH. Keeping the dress as simple as possible with the princess cut, all the attention is being directed to the sleeves instead. I bet your bakal mother-in-law won’t stop staring at your hand when you salam her guys HAHAHA. This one’s selling fast so go go grab yours now!!! Time to impress your potential mother-in-law this raya kay HAHA JOKESS
For the friendly and social butterflies out there, this dress is said to be yours hehe. I’m not a social butterfly but I’d still love to wear this beauty though haha. I’m really digging that asymmetrical drape and that lace around the waist, it enhances the shape of your body and making it look even more feminine. *heart eyes*
The details..so dreamy.. *sighs*
For you who love some pop of colors! The cuffs have exactly the same finishing as Nawal but the pleats are in the middle this time. The inverted pleats are made from 2 different contrasting colors, which spices up the dress even more. I’d wear this dress with a nude brown scarf, how about you? ;>
For the minimalist out there! I love how everything is toned down except for the drape and little pleats on the right shoulder there, ’cause really that’s all that we actually need hehe. This dress seriously reminds of the dress that the greek goddess would wear, there’s just something about it that makes the wearer to appear strong and powerful to me. Be bold and elegant with Thalia this raya!
The. cuffs. I’m. OBSESSED. For the fashion forward, they say.
“Brave-hearted and determined, Jaida knows no boundaries. She pushes the limit and always trust her instinct. Sky’s the limit for this one!”
If that description from LtD portray you well, you know where to head to hun hehe.
The greek inspired lace game is real on this dress. Around the waist, up the chest, shoulder armhole and along the sleeves. For those who just can’t get enough of the lace (like me hehe)! I chose eggplant as my favorite because the color makes the dress look even more elegant and bold. Totally would twirl in this dress. But I don’t wanna look lunatic alone so…twirl with me? Bahaha
Fuhh. How are YOU gonna pick one guys? They are all breathtakingly beautiful, even the Nawal that I just received is prettier in real life. Cannot brain how gorgeous these dresses are in real life, can I have it all in my wardrobe please?? :<
Having LtD as one of my raya outfits is a must for me now, you NEVER disappoint LtD <3 Love love love how comfortable the dress is and how it fits my body so well (they’re very serious about their tailored fit game guys). The side pleats also screams my style so well, feminine yet a tad edgy at the same time hehe. I’m planning to make a look book video in Nawal, but I cannot promise you guys okay it’s still under my plan hehe. But hopefully I can make it, I wanna show you guys the dress even closer so insyaAllah, I will post it on my IG kays :> If I fail, you guys can just check LtD’s Instagram, they post aesthetically pleasing videos of their dresses there <3
They also invited me to the VIP’s soft launch last week, but the event was held at FV Bangsar and I obviously couldn’t attend it. Almost get to meet Asma’ and Sumi guys, ALMOST. But it’s alright not my rizq yet. Also not my rizq to own the Luna dress, I could’ve bought it first if I were to attend it. But oh wells, at least one of my favorite brands recognized me <3
Thank you thank you thank you so much for the invite, LtD! We’ll meet one day if Allah permits hehe <3
Okay enough with my blabbering, have you found the right dress yet? 😉
