Or I’ll be dead…or at least bleed my ears until next Ramadhan bahaha.
Being the only girl in this house, of course I’ve to be down in the kitchen to help boss chick to prepare the food for iftar (we’ve no maids, btw). Let’s go back to the first day of Ramadhan, where everyone was hungry, tired, dizzy and grumpy. So after we were done shopping for food, I went up to pray Zohor and while I was waiting for Asar to come, I fell asleep.
And woke up at 5p.m.
Okay thinking that we don’t have to cook on that day because we’ve bought lotsa food ranging from western to middle eastern foods (kidding HAHA) I was like okay I can just chill and take my time while performing Asar. But when I was about to ruku’ during the first rakaat, the world was suddenly shaking, guys. My heart beats so fast and loud I could hear it and cold sweats started to form on my forehead. But ok chill, focus on God. Focus on God. God first. He’ll save you.
No it wasn’t an earthquake guys.
It was boss chick.
OK sorry mom I love you but you were overreacting at that time. Everyone was hangry kay but mom’s hangry level could end my life. I swear my face got slapped by the raging air from her when I open my door to go down, dislocated my nose a bit and all bahaha #joking. Long story short, we all got “ceramah” and bled our ears until iftar, just because no one was helping her cooking (it was her food, we didn’t even eat it!!!) and preparing the dining table. We were all knocked out before that and the consequence was dealing with her rage. But anyway boss chick went back to normal after we were done with iftar HAHAHA.
Safe to say that was the first and the last time I went down that late, up until now it’s either earlier than 5 or 5p.m sharp, no more than that. I still wanna raya kay guys hahaha.
Shout out to all mothers out there who cooked for their families despite being hungry and tired after working and doing chores, and also despite being sleepy in case of sahur hehe. You all are superwomen (move away, gal gadot) and I pray that God will grant you all the highest of heaven, where you don’t have to cook anymore teehee. This is definitely one of the valuable lessons for me this ramadhan. Not only that I’m a (kinda) punctual lady now but it made me realize how precious are the quality times that I had with boss chick throughout this ramadhan. Maybe this is a way that Allah s.w.t is trying to give back the time that was lost when we were both busy with workloads and school, and I am very thankful for that <3
I hope you guys are having amazing ramadhan so far. I swear this year’s ramadhan is so fast it honestly scares me. We’ve only few days left and then we’re going to enter Syawal (next week??!!!) Let’s make the best out of it kays :>
I’ve an hour to finish up my tasks, so bye for now!
